Biography

A music lover from early childhood, Camille de Tredern was a passionate piano student.
Equally attracted by manual activities, she naturally turned to music instruments making, after her scientific baccalaureate. She first studied cabinet-making at the renowned École Boulle in Paris, then chose to study string quartet making at the Mirecourt school in the Vosges.

Graduating with honours in 2014, she broadened her experience by working with a number of luthiers, from Lisbon to Frankfurt via Paris, notably with Charles Coquet, and Paul Belin ; and finally from 2021 to 2023 with Patrick Robin in Angers. She then settled there.

Camille is laureate of the “Viola’s” lutherie competition in 2022 in Paris, wining three first prizes from a jury of musicians and luthiers, for a viola made in duo with Roland Belleguic.
