In the repair and restoration of Viennese and Italian double basses I was allowed to get acquainted with the double basses of the 18th century.
On this basis, I build my copies with great passion.
My oil varnish is based on a recipe from the 18th century. So I try both aesthetically as well as acoustically
to approach big role models.
