ConTakt-junior

The violin and bow makers of the Klanggestalten group and their colleagues have launched a project that is unique worldwide. 40 of the best violin and bow makers from all over Europe are building high-quality ½ and ¾ instruments as well as ½ and ¾ bows. The aim of conTakt-junior is to support young talented musicians.

 

Children usually have to play on simple instruments with inadequate bows. How much better could they develop their musical and playing skills with high-quality instruments and bows made by skilled artisans! Unfortunately, their purchase or even rental is usually dependent on the income of the parents and not on the talent of the young musicians.

 

We want to provide talented children with excellent newly built small instruments and bows on loan and completely free of charge. Our usual focus is on building instruments and bows for professional musicians around the world. Many of us now have children ourselves and we experience how beautiful and important it is when talented children can learn their instrument with good tools. That's why we build the small instruments and bows with the same high standards as our larger ones: pure craftsmanship, excellent playing qualities, easy response, and full sound.
