„This exhibition offers living proof that violins and bows of recent make have enormously improved, to the point that they now effortlessly measure up to older instrument in terms of quality […]. My sincere congratulations to the violin and bow makers of KLANGGESTALTEN!“
“Klanggestalten is a wonderful occasion for string players to obtain an overview of the many different ways in which new violins and bows are made today. I find it highly interesting just to be there, to look on while others discuss and play, to try out some of the instruments myself, to exchange views, also to learn something new. Our string quartet was once invited to play a recital at Klanggestalten on instruments from the exhibition, and it was exciting to observe how the ensemble readily adapted to the new situation. On that occasion I spontaneously purchased a new bow: I now play it on a daily basis and it has become my favourite.
Just think how much time and effort would be required to go and visit each one of these violin and bow makers in their own workshops!”
„Through first-hand encounters with the instruments and their makers, I have experienced new worlds of sound which have led me to discover new ways of thinking. For this I am very grateful.
''Contemporary violin making is flourishing. Part of the reason being the close communication many violin makers foster, like at KLANGGESTALTEN."
„KLANGGESTALTEN exhibitions have for years now been a major international podium for creative exchange.
"Finally, music students have also discovered the KlangGestalten exhibition. They now understand that you don’t need to spend lots of money to own an old instrument. Instead, you can choose a modern instrument: it is just as good, and it has more of a future."
''No student should miss the opportunity to find his instrument her...''
"What I particularly appreciate about Klanggestalten is the opportunity to share know-how and experience in direct contact with violin makers."
“I recommend the KLANGGESTALTEN exhibition, where you can try out a great number of instruments in smaller rooms and in an auditorium, either by yourself or in the company of other musicians with whom you can share your views. I particularly appreciate the public try-out sessions where you can hear all the instruments from the vantage point of an audience.”
