Victor BERNARD was born in 1985 near Paris, France.
After graduating from the Newark School of Violin Making, passionate about bow making, he worked in Brussels under Pierre Guillaume’s expertise in bow making and restoration where he was able to develop his taste for antique bows.
He multiplied work experiences with renowned bowmakers in Europe.
In 2014, he joined the Atelier Flagey in Brussels and work alongside with violinmaker Joanne Van Bosterhaut.
Victor is an organiser member of Ekho, an association created for the promotion of contemporary violin and bow making through exhibitions.
He regularly takes part in international bow making exhibitions, Belgium, France, Germany, England, Ireland, United States, Japan...
He has won First Prize bow making at Viola's Paris 2019, two Gold Medal and seven Certificates of Merit at the Violin Society of America, one Gold Medal, two Silver and one Bronze at the Mittenwald International Bow making Competition in Germany.
