Helen Michetschläger

I have been a professional violin maker for more than 40 years. My instruments are owned and valued by musicians in Europe, the USA and Hong Kong. These include both professional orchestral musicians and children who benefit from my custom design for small violins and violas. I specialise in personalised orders to fulfil the demands of my customers in terms of sound and playing comfort.

As well as working at the bench, I have published a book on the varnish expertise of the late Koen Padding, write regularly for the Strad Magazine, have given lectures and organised several conferences.
