Urtzi Balantzategi

Urtzi discovered his passion for music at a young age, first as a listener in the choir with his grandfather, and later as a double bass student in Bilbao.

His fascination with lutherie led him to Cremona, Italy, where he perfectioned his craft alongside masters such as Tetsu Suzuki and Marco Nolli.

Upon his return to the Basque Country, he established his own workshop, committed to serving the musical community and honoring the tradition of this wonderful instrument.
